Hey Austin:

As we all know, many businesses are hurting nationwide due to the safety guidelines put into place to curb community growth of the novel coronavirus. These businesses have pivoted their offerings,  shut down temporarily to save what was left, or worse still, had to close down permanently. There's no question small businesses have been hit the hardest, and that impact reverberates through the community it services, sometimes for years.

As we sat around watching all this happen, we thought there had to be something we could do to help our fellow small business owners. In a late night brainstorm we realized that we could in fact see the pandemic as an opportunity for growth instead of a setback.

As Austinites and ecommerce professionals, we wanted to do two things: (1) support local businesses by providing ONE PLACE for Austinites to shop these businesses, buy gift cards, or even donate to them. (2) help businesses hit the hardest by COVID-19 by bringing them online through our online assistance program.

So this website was born. Many of these local businesses we already know and love, and we hope this site provides a gentle reminder to support them.
